I was mistaken; it was in 1975 that Godfroy was looking for employment with several large companies. (He was finally hired by Peugeot in February, 1976.) However, he had kept himself busy creating designs throughout 1973-74, so the potential gap ranges from 1973-1975. Hmm...

As this design reflects the influences of Gandini/Bertone's Alfa Romeo Carabo (1968), Lancia Stratos Zero (1970) and Lamborghini LP500 (1971) (and possibly Giugiaro's Maserati Boomerang of 1971), and looks as though it could be contemporary with the Lamborghini Bravo (Gandini/Bertone, 1974), I'm going to go with 1974.

These two pics are from the 1975 publication of "L'Auto-Journal – Salon de l'Auto", so I think that Godfroy's design is from this year, but of course it could also be from one of the years before.
As I don't know exactly I don't want to be too picky with gte4289's reply and give him the point.  ;)

Thank you!

(Note Bertone's Bravo is also depicted on that cover, even though it made its debut at the Salone dell'Automobile di Torino in 1974.)

Gmachmeir's NSU R80 concept (picture at the top) was presented at Geneva in 1975.

Is the puzzle car pictured anywhere on the internet?
Even with the full answer I haven't been able to find it.  There is a short biography of Godfroy's career in auto design but there's no mention at all of this car!

I wasn't able to find it on the internet either. It's from that French catalogue I've mentioned and haven't seen it anywhere else. There's a short caption of that pic I can add later if you like!
