Allrighty then, you assed for it!
All trends are just another way for people with little self esteem and creativity to belong to some group.
Be it Dead-Heads, Metal -Heads, bikers, Dundeons & Dragon geeks, they are all look for a kin-ship to call their own.
I guess we all want to belong in some way, maybe it's human nature.
The thing that gets me about bikers (Harley types) and comparably punk rockers from the way-back times is they claim to be so tough, so individualistic,
all they are doing is following along with a trend!
Sure, there are many modern choppers that show much individuallity and great crastsmanship, but for every one of them there are a thousand Orange County Chopper types
that to me are just tastless and cheesie. Even the "good" ones aren't to my taste for the most part, but who can account for taste, I guess. Who am I to judge.
It's expressed in my head far better than I am able to express here, but the machismo, "My Country is better than yours" 9-11 tribute bike flag-flying meat head chopper bikes can rot in a pile of their own filth. Id rather be seen in a....well, just about ANYthing on wheels.
Like a chopper built around 1970 for one!
Or better yet, an NSU van.
Maybe I'm trying to say...are you doing it for the tough guy image, or for the genuine love of wheeled vehices?
Can you drive an Austin Mini and appreciate it's cornering ability or do you have something to prove by driving something just because it looks tough?
