It's not a simple task to find new interesting puzzles of rare and unique vehicles, which...
a) are not easy to find on the Internet
and
b) haven't been played on this site yet
The process of finding new puzzles is sometimes more complex than solving some puzzles.
If points are important at 'AutoPuzzles', why aren't eager puzzle setters rewarded with points (after all, a lot of knowledge is necessary for finding new puzzles)?

(I'm thinking a lot of 'BERTRAND', who provides a lot of puzzles without taking part in the guessing process at 'AutoPuzzles')

Examples:
One point reward for 20 new puzzles?....or...to avoid puzzle inflation...
5 points for 100 new puzzles?
Couldn't this also lead to more participation on this site?

This has been discussed by the editors on a few occasions. No doubt your post will invite fresh discussion.

Your suggestion was posted on an AP thread reserved for editors. The overall feeling was that the ethos of the site is for puzzle-solving. If points were awarded for puzzle-posting then it would be too easy for some members to set easy puzzles (VW Beetle, Ford Cortina) and earn a lot of points for doing very little. AP has allways been about testing its members' knowledge and problem-solving and it is felt that this is how things should stay.

The biggest problem the site has is not finding puzzles (one editor has 1000s of new puzzles yet to post and showed us a screenshot of his database as proof) but finding people to solve them. There are only 14 Pros and 5 Masters, and I am sure you are aware that most new members register and then often never visit the site again. They either realise they are not good enough or can't be bothered to search the internet - the answers are usually there. I believe that there is only a limited number of people interested in our rather niche activity.

However - as always AP is ready to listen to any reasonable suggestion. I'm not sure a social media page would be the right thing though. That sort of thing attracts some rather unhealthy people!
