Today I checked some of the old member profiles and came across Ray B.'s
I noticed that his last post dates from 6th of September 2016.
I googled his name which was Thierry "Ted" Benoit and was shocked to read the very sad news that he had passed away already on September 30th 2016, just a few weeks after his last post here. He was only 69 years old.
Some of the old members know that Ray B. was a very popular French comic artist:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Benoithttp://www.tcj.com/he-walked-the-line-thierry-ted-benoit-1947-2016/I remember him as one of the "always around" puzzlers (amongst Otto Puzzell, Quiller, Paul Jaray, Djetset, @re, SeaLion, Allan L etc. etc.) when I first registered here in 2008.
I got really sad and melancholy about thinking of him and the "good old days".
Ray had esp. a soft spot for the US American cars of the 40s, 50s, 60s and was a big enthusiast on design and style of that era. He liked the rather awkward vehicles, too. We had our little controversies here and there, but always liked his straightforwardness and his passion for what he loved.
Will surely miss him!!
