This show on Saturday was a fund-raiser and held in a church car park, so I didn't expect much. In fact about 150 cars turned up although much was "grey porridge" and several owners has an odd idea of what was classic - a Z4, A5 cabriolet and C63 - all nice cars but built in the 2000s. As usual, plenty of MINI fanboys and MX5 ditto. The only outstanding car was what I think was a Phantom III but the owner was nowhere to be seen so I couldn't ascertain the coachbuilder.
The Marlin was nice. Such an attractive kit-car. Ford Pinto engine and the owner reckoned the darker green was M-B and the paler colour Opel. The Minor van looked like it lived on a farm as a hen-house, no idea how it passed an MOT. Never seen a Soarer before. Spoiled by a dustbin exhaust and what I think were illegal wheels (wider than bodywork).
