I'm trying to contact Vasilescu Petru Ionat, author of "The Most Complete Car Encyclopedia". It seems that it's been

The last time he was active here was on October 1, 2014. The only contact data we have is his email address given here: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/general-automotive/the-most-complete-car-encyclopedia-book-series-my-lifetime-project/msg292449/#msg292449

Ok, I saw the style. Something superficially compiled from online sources made by robots, plus work stolen from the big encyclopedias, plus a collective work (they say Ionescu, but there are probably 100+ guys) plus a hidden support from someone who wants to present the romanians as intellectuals because they are doing some dirty things for them.

If that work is as Vasilescu says I think we should at least respect it as the great task
it was involving a lot of hours. As you may suppose no one can achieve this without
the help of many people, let's say ie the imcdb.org project, car fans from all the countries
collaborating. A really update of the Georgano books so let's support and not only criticize
so that it don't sleep in a drawer forever...

Romanians from all over the Europe passing as Spaniards or stuff... You know what I respect? I respect the work of Georgano, who did original research in physical archives all over the world and sells all its work for 300 euros. I respect the Polish work with a similar scope who was sold even cheaper. Or allcarindex, that is free. Or the guys (usually Indians and Chinese) who wrote the scripts for the online robots who compiled info of so many world companies. Or the sites (mostly Russian and Brasilian) who offered free knowledge about it, making a wonderful promotion for the past motor history (most of it Western). Or the specialists (mostly Britons, Scandinavian and Dutch) who enlighted important segments of this history. If I told you about them, don't kill them to let Ionat the only author, as you usually do with your competition. But things like these, a bootleg encyclopedia made by tens of securitate officers and presented as the work of "little Ionat", who costs more than its weight in gold, and is supported by strange guys in a worldwide campaign meant to present the romanians as quasiintellectals, in order to help their efforts to undermine the whole world, this I won't respect; I will despise it like sh*t. Give me the site where Ionat publishes for free all its work, this I could respect...sort of.

I admire very much the wise people, who with a perfect self-control, are saddened to see the lunatics of this world tainting its perfect beauty. They still love them, but they cannot stop themselves to see the sad reality.
THAT UNTIL YOU FIND OUT THEY GRABBED THE OIL, WOOD AND GOLD INDUSTRY IN UKRAINE USING THE ROMANIAN OCCUPATION. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE NOT BOTHERED BY THE VISIT OF DUGIN IN BUCHAREST - THEY WORK TOGETHER. SO IT'S IMPORTANT TO SHOW YOURSELVES SAD AND WISE, BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO HIDE THE FACT YOU ARE THIEFS AND MURDERERS, DELAYING THE DEFENSIVE MEASURES OF THOSE WHO ARE NEXT. CUBAN SPY CANDIDATES FOR THE WHITE HOUSE? NO PROBLEM! JUNCKER'S THREATS ABOUT THE SECESSION OF SOME US STATES? WONDERFUL! A DEBT OF 20 TRILLION DOLLARS? WE WANT MORE! FOR THEM, UNITED STATES ARE NOT WHAT YOU SEE IN WIKIPEDIA - JUST FEW MILLION DUDES WHO ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY TO COOPERATE WITH THEIR ENEMIES TO CUT THE CAKE. NOT SO WISE ANYMORE, ARE YOU?

That solves your problem, but still doesn't solve mine. Think about this as I asked you, please! And just to clarify the things, I am strongly pro-Western and I can't see myself otherwise. I am not even fighting for an idea - I gave this world enough of my ideas and suffering. I just fight to stay alive and I want to stop if I could accomplish this. Sorry for loading your forum, I considered they were here for me and I answered that.

I deleted my earlier post today because it was written in a hurry and I didn't want to spread bad feelings here...
This is Autopuzzles, a forum where nice people discuss about cars, obscure cars, nice cars and ...cars.
There are few sections where we can discuss other topics, but always under the same guidelines: respect for everyone and everyone's opinion.
This thread started with a gentle request:

I'm trying to contact Vasilescu Petru Ionat, author of "The Most Complete Car Encyclopedia". It seems that it's been
a long time since he wrote on that forum and other ones. Any chance to have his email? Thanks  :D
I wonder how it ended like that.

Staulan, please allow me a little digression here.
There are facts, opinions and rubbish. We can just aknowledge facts, we can discuss opininos but we can't tollerate rubbish.
In your replies #5 and #7 there are few facts, many opinions (some of them I agree with) but also too much rubbish!
...and then arrived reply #9!
Now it's not Vasilescu or the Romaninas the topic, but that was just the start for a broader rant.
All above are facts.
Now my opinion: if you feel like sharing your thoughts, fears or whatever, you should find a proper and gentle way: I do not know why Autopuzzles should be the place for that but, as stated before, this is a friendly comunity and if you express your views, you'll always receive respect...the same respect you should show for all the people you are talking of.
I must confess I fail to understand precisely who are you against but what I totally get is the bad vibe from your replies.
There is too much shit out there...we can't ignore it, but this is not the place/way to deal with it.

I am sorry for insulting the romanians; they are your allies in EU, NATO and many other fora and you have so many plans together... It's good you don't even let their name be touched. I am sure there were other rants. I am sure most of them closed in less than a week for lack of interests or arguments (at least on one side). I am also sure no moderator intervened and definitely not all moderators. But that's why the friends are for! I appreciate your strive for perfect neutrality and total politeness, and if this was a test for your loyalty, you all passed it with maximum grades. I will not post from this account anymore - I will keep it because I like the pictures. I am also sorry for causing so much suffering, and in this respect you must appreciate the romanians' position about the boring or confusing people. I don't know how to finish this, maybe you will.

There is no special treatment for any nationality here.  We treat everyone as a total equal wherever they are from!
And similarly we will not encourage political comments from anyone, whoever they are.

Right...
You know what's the problem, Jaray? Both the New Old Agers like you and Puzzell and the Old New Agers like the britons and the germans present the same problem and have together the same problem. They present a danger to the world and, simultaneously, they are fooled in style by the romanians, who promised them help not only against the world, but also against each other. You will not give up very soon your hostility and abandon your plans for the rest of the world because it took you many years to prepare for it and you changed accordingly. They say the normal cures (I'm not talking about the divine or technological miracles) take as long as the installment of the disease - and for the decayed moral there are no miracles. When someone kills its own citizens in order to take their women it's hard to think they will show more compassion to, say, Bangladesh or Nicaragua. So you won't solve this problem very soon but, if there are more integer people among you, you can at least show some will, by helping me, and the world will understand (the other arguments don't work because they are reversible and can be fabricated, while I can live at least 20 years). So, if changing yourselves is exclusively a matter of your will, I tried, selfishly, I know, to solve you both the problem with the romanians because I considered that, as the non-westerners don't have the guts to intervene in your space, the only way to get some help is to have an Occident, after all. I also had a myriad of altruistic reasons, but you will never understand them, as you are going further from the morality everyday. By the way, the 3 months of romanian loyalty have passed and now they switched allegiances (from NOA to ONA, of course, the world thing is a permanent objective, while this level is an instrument). Those like you are said to be intelligent and good in intrigues but now I am unimpressed. Plus they are about to steal you a load of money (and if I will be suspended it will be for this last phrase).

I am still too much puzzled by this thread.
I have to understand what's wrong, but honestly I still can't get it.
July76 asked to get in contact with Vasilescu Petru Ionat.
After few normal replies, Staulan (who is not a newby but an Expert who joined Autopuzzles 10 year ago!) expressed his opininon about this kind of work
Quote
Something superficially compiled from online sources made by robots, plus work stolen from the big encyclopedias, plus a collective work (they say Ionescu, but there are probably 100+ guys)
Quote
a bootleg encyclopedia made by tens of securitate officers and presented as the work of "little Ionat", who costs more than its weight in gold
And so far, even if personally do not like these hard tones, these are just opinions.
I understand he doesn't like this kind of work and prefers free sources or at least the work of (in his opininon) real researchers.
Few years ago, he proposed an off-road encyclopedia to work on:
http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/general-automotive/automobile-coachbuilders-and-manufacturers/msg256639/#msg256639
and this is what he wrote about his own work:
Quote
since 15 years ago I collect offroad vehicles pictures. I probably roamed 3/4 of the free Internet, collecting (...) more than 5000 models.
In the current form, I had this project in mind for more than 5 years, and recently I reserved a wikia domain. As I'm not doing this for me, I am very happy with their confidentiality and copyright policy. If there will be profits (which I doubt),  I even devised a sharing mechanism. If not, I have something similar in mind for the "image gains".
It seems like the kind of work he is against:  compiled from online sources and looking for collective work.

Then there are some considerations that I find hard to understand:
Quote
a hidden support from someone who wants to present the romanians as intellectuals because they are doing some dirty things for them.
Quote
Romanians from all over the Europe passing as Spaniards or stuff...
Quote
supported by strange guys in a worldwide campaign meant to present the romanians as quasiintellectals, in order to help their efforts to undermine the whole world
He is not against Vasilescu, but the Romanians!
Even if I can't see them trying to undermine the whole world I realized there was something more behind.
but then his reply #9 add more confusion to my head:
Quote
I admire very much the wise people, who with a perfect self-control, are saddened to see the lunatics of this world tainting its perfect beauty. They still love them, but they cannot stop themselves to see the sad reality.
Who are these wise people?
Quote
THAT'S WHY THEY ARE NOT BOTHERED BY THE VISIT OF DUGIN IN BUCHAREST - THEY WORK TOGETHER
SO IT'S IMPORTANT TO SHOW YOURSELVES SAD AND WISE, BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO HIDE THE FACT YOU ARE THIEFS AND MURDERERS
UNITED STATES ARE NOT WHAT YOU SEE IN WIKIPEDIA - JUST FEW MILLION DUDES WHO ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY TO COOPERATE WITH THEIR ENEMIES TO CUT THE CAKE. NOT SO WISE ANYMORE, ARE YOU?

Are United States the problem now?
and finally:
Quote
I am sorry for insulting the romanians; they are your allies in EU, NATO and many other fora and you have so many plans together... It's good you don't even let their name be touched. I am sure there were other rants. I am sure most of them closed in less than a week for lack of interests or arguments (at least on one side). I am also sure no moderator intervened and definitely not all moderators. But that's why the friends are for! I appreciate your strive for perfect neutrality and total politeness, and if this was a test for your loyalty, you all passed it with maximum grades.
We have plans with Romanians?
Now moderators are the problem?
A test for our loyalty to what?

Please, Staulan, I took some time to read all your previous posts and you've been a true Autopuzzler, so far.
In this long post I'm trying to show you that it's fine if you do not like Vasilescu's work, we can discuss what is the best way for a task like that...but it seems you are looking for a fight, not a discussion.

I really, truly, honestly can't understand what is the matter with these posts  :-\

I understood that saying the smallest observation about romania makes all the moderators (some more, probably for personal interests) go postal. This shows a friendship and connections with them  beyond any imagination, while displaying some two pennies solidarity with me, in order to foul the third parties. I offered to shut up, I closed the subject, but I won't lie for you again - I did it once and look at me now. If you are so well connected with them, show the world your friendship, what's the problem? And no, the West was never a problem for me, it's a generalisation similar to someone reading your post and saying "Paul Jaray is against staulan, so PJ has a problem with the Milky Way Galaxy, where staulan belongs"; or romania...
I want to stop here, but you have to let it go. You yourselves said this is beyond Autopuzzles.

This is surreal.

A. I do not like the new Toyota, I think you have to be stupid to buy one, I do not respect who drives them...I respect German cars and you all are idiots!
B. Hey, what's wrong with you, this is a nice place, try to behave.
A. Ah-Ah! You have connection with Toyota? Did the pay you to defend them?
B. No, I just don't understand what you are talking about.
A. Oh, forgive me if I dared to touch your beloved Toyota, you are all corrupted!

This is more or less what happened.
I have absolutely nothing against you, and I don't care less about Romania than I do about Spain or Switzerland or the rest of the world...oh, and I have no personal interest, connections or frienship to save with Romanian....so far I'm more concerned about you, because you obviously have something to say and I can't get the smallest part of it.
