The New Look!
« on: September 28, 2006, 12:29:17 PM »
First off, if you don't like it, you can change back to the SMF standard  in your profile settings:

http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1;sa=theme

Now, what do you guys think of it?

Should I get some other looks for us to be able to choose from?

You can peruse our options here:

http://themes.simplemachines.org/

Let me know which ones you like and I will install them for you to be able to use on YOUR autopuzzles.

I think I prefer dark text on a light background personally. This new look has a few contrast issues, particularly with the user info, news box, and key stats boxes at the top...BUT, I thank you for giving us all many options to chose from. As crazy as it sounds, there's probably a few puzzle-ites out there with tastes different than mine. :)

I am working on installing it and making it the default.  It is a perfect match for the site.

After I have finished that, my next project will be to get the banner as a link across the top.

Installed and defaulted.  I like it!

In the next few days, I should be able to get the AutoPuzzles banner across the forum top, linked to autopuzzles, and, hopefully, the header to better match the forum.

BUT, I thank you for giving us all many options to chose from.

Until I get some functional issues worked out, the current Apollo theme will be the only choice.  :-[

I think it looks great though.  It is a perfect match for the homepage!  Nice choice, Karn.  8)

I think the forum looks kind of like a '50's jukebox now.

It looks nice, but I have a difficult time distinguishing the clickable links in my header. For example, the "Show Unread posts since last visit" looks like normal text, not something clickable.

Of course, that may be my eyes, my monitor, my B.A.C., my age or any combination thereof.

Other than that, me like.

I believe, through exploration of the HTML that creates this forum and some Google usage to help discover HTML color codes, that the contrast issue has been addressed.

I noticed it immediately. Small change, but a big difference. Thanks!
