Can anyone confirm if this is a FSO 125p Kombi ambulance? The wheelbase seems quite long.
Thanks

Unknown SWAT Car probably from Africa
« Reply #1478 on: June 27, 2024, 02:26:22 AM »
Hi all,

in the past, I needed and got help here to identify vintage cars, as you can see in the matching section. This one here is troublesome for a couple of reasons. First, it is not vintage, but contemporary, so I only can hope having put the question into the right place. Second, it is not a passenger car. Third, it looks so unique that one might mean to expect an easy find by googling using terms like "africa swat car", what it is: a police SWAT vehicle, somewhere in an obviously English speaking African country, or maybe in Jamaica or another island with this population. But alas, all searching proved to be fruitless. On the other hand, it looks attractive, so richer people even may want to get one.

The last and worst trouble is: what is its type name? Can you help once more?

Thanks for every answer, and best regards,
RT

There are literally dozens of manufacturers of such riot control vehicles. Can you specify the location?

No, sorry. Also "Badland Winches" lead to nowhere.

Anyway, does anybody know a good army vehicles recognition forum? Recent vehicles, nothing vintage?

Best regards,
RT

Just found it in Nigeria. But no further notice. Article authors think last about the needs of picture collectors :( ;)

I've found the solution and will PM it to you. But as this will do fine as a puzzle I will post it as well.  ;)

This is a modified Puma GTV. The only real giveaway is the concave hood which is typical of all Nova/Sterling/Puma kit car variants. There have been about a dozen variants of this kit and most keep that distinctive hood shape. This one looks fairly customized, and I'd bet there is just the one. You can see more photos of it here, but in yellow. My guess is that it's the same car, but repainted or the image was color enhanced.

US Military Buggy in Afghanistan
« Reply #1485 on: July 19, 2024, 10:15:29 AM »
Hi autopuzzles.com,

this vehicle again is a car and a military vehicle. To identify it, I may be here in the right place.

It is a US fighting buggy. The picture was made in Afghanistan. The vehicle to me looks much more attractive than the contemporarily used Polaris samples. But all googling fpr it remained without success.

If you can name it, please do so!

Thank you for every answer, and regards,
RT

Thank you for watching.

Let me post one then.

This one is featured on a web page as a Lotus Elan variation. Has anybody ever seen it before? What is it?

Looks more like a Nissan 350Z at the front, in my opinion... a bastard child of some sort, anyway...

Hi this is made by Protomotor who also made the Ps2 which became the Spirra/Oullim Spirra. Those are the only two pics of it and I had difficulty finding a name even way back when. But it is a Protomotors project

and seemimgly like magic this website just surfaced: https://brunch.co.kr/@vaporwarecar/49
