so how many types of darl'mat were there? until recently i hadn't seen the 202 streamliner and that was in these very poor photos - http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/5784/fc8c1.jpg
i think it had a prettier 'face' than the 203 proto; but of the 402s this is my favourite - maybe it was unique?  - but these are the only photos i know of, so if anyone has more ...
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/8...ot402darlm.jpg
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/8...ot402darlm.jpg
now - i am not sure this barquette is a Darl'mat at all; and apart from the body it's the chassis, suspension, transmission and rear-axle i cant recognise...
( - but i think  GS Citroen running gear would suit -) http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/...at/838979.html
a darl'mat badge maybe, but raced in Tripoli 1938? 2 litre? - not with a 203 motor, radiator and - at one time, wheels -... so as something else?
( looks more like the simca gordini to me )
http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/5571/darlmat.jpg
http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/3...artbrodtar.jpg
http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/5...artbrodtas.jpg"
between the older and more recent photo's it has lost a fan, 3-stud wheels, an interesting steering wheel and old paint including the original registration number - replaced with that badge, an older steering wheel and - somehow - 5-stud alloy wheels; a twin-carb system is visible in one interior photo and just where is the extra pulley for the supercharger (or it's inlet manifold?) and oil filter, the engine mounts, etc, etc ... ? anyone know anything of this curiosity?
thanks in advance, steven

I have this car as Delage 8 made by Paul Jaray. I am looking forward to getting a confirmation together with more information about his car. Thank You!

An interesting car, but only one picture from imageshack is showing up.
I've found a sales advertisement, though. The car seems to have had some other badge - possibly a writing on a very edge of its nose. The chassis plate reads F.Merlin, Bone. I thought it could be a carrozzeria name and the city of origin, but now I'm not sure. The are two cities named Bone that I've found - in Indonesia and at Philippines, both seem to be not what we are looking for. But in France there is Bonne. We also have chassis number (4062) and engine type (P80), which didn't help me yet. Another plate, on the engine, says 'Autobleu-Marine, Paris'. I know where Paris is, but what Autobleu-Marine could mean?
The wheel covers look rather Darl'Mat to me, I'd say, and the rear end too.

P.S. The badge looks similar.

Arunas, ZR #12'97 has another photo of this car described as 1935 Delage D6-65 Coupe, with no further information.

P.S. But the wheelbase looks longer than D6's to me personally.

The picture below is dated back to 1935. No name was given in a description mentioning it as a new American car. The only idea I have that this could be a Stout Scarab (prototype maybe). Any other ideas, plase?

This one is a real mystery. I know at least three clueless forums. (No, it's NOT from another mystery car thread)

What about your support?

Looks pretty darned close to this early example, including the diagonal line in the rear 3/4 window.

Exactly the same situation. I have come here for a couple times already to say "It's a ....', but then I realized I was mistaken  :-\

Why don't you make a puzzle out of this?
I do not know, but probably someone else can find it, someone not interested in this tread.

I am afraid this could be a rerun if posted as a puzzle. Despite it looks very familiar I have no idea what it could be. Maybe someone could help me with this one?

Thank you!

"More information" implicitly implies the person doing the asking has some information already about the topic in question.  If this person has no information about the topic and is posing questions here, he or she is misleading everyone but most of all misleading him/her self.

How sad is that?

this is a picture I took at Geneve in 2004...that's why it looked familiar.
I don't remember the name, but in Rome I've got the list of all the expositor present at that Salon. I should also have some magazines covering the event.

Going from memory, this was called something like 'Light Car Concept' . And are you sure it wasn't Geneva 1994?

Absolutely! It was 1994...that's why it's not a digital picture but an old fashioned one!
I'm not revealing the maker because the yellow car in the same stand is a current puzzle, so there is the chance that this car is from the same brand...
