Unfortunately I haven't seen this one before, so just some thoughts from me. At first sight one is tempted to say that it is another VW Kübelwagen based private one-off, but the wheels don't look VW to me. What I can't really identify is the bulge above the license plate. Is there a single headlight or just a sign? Is it an air intake for a front engine? The round objects besides the license plate look like horns. It seems as if the windscreen wiper axles go through the glass what is quite uncommon on German cars. For the year the picture was taken I would think of 1951/52 going by the VWs, the Fiat 1400 Cabriolet and the license plates. The location probably in the Southwestern part of Germany, as the (hard to identify) first letters on the plate don't look like AB for Bavaria.
Thanks Wendax - some interesting thoughts there.
Unfortunately I can't remember where I'd downloaded this photo from :'(

I tried to enhance and enlarge it but with mixed results -

Does it really has a split window ???

I think so, V-split window with very thin pillars and a chrome part at the top of the middle pillar to fix the canopy.

Can anyone identify the small sports car on the left in this photo?
It was taken in Germany - date unknown

It appears to have suicide doors was that common for cars to have in Germany. Also if the license plate will help identify this car. Maybe post some pic's of other period license plates maybe we can decipher it. Just a thought

I don't know if anyone can help me with this but.

I am looking for a car that i saw it was a modern day version of a fiat jolly it had all the elements of a jolly the roof everything. I am pretty sure it wasn't a  castagna fiat. I am not sure if it was modern fiat based or not. All I remember was that it was modern it was grey in color it had a roof and the picture I saw it looked like the car was at sometype of show the cars front was pointing towards the left of the screen. i would defintely recognize it if i saw it again. If anyone can help me.

Maybe this one?

No not that one either. Maybe I was mistaken and it's not modern. Maybe older much older. I would like to thank everyone for their help. I know that I can always get expert help here on autopuzzles

From the end of WW2 to 1956 the German license plates were of the type AB 12-3456, where the first letter was on top of the other one, depicting the occupation zone (A = American, B = British, F = French, S = Soviet), white letters on black plate. A list can be found here:

Last guess for rosenbergm: Fiat Fiorino Portofino (made by Mr. Vernagallo) and Fiat Panda Marrakesh (made by I.De.A. for Centro Stile Fiat).

I don't know other Italian modern jollies.

I'm sure I have this pic somewhere.
It's not in my folder of unidentified cars and it's a good sign.
I hope I did not see this pic in a forum and did not download it because there were no info...
Not a Denzel?

this unknown car has elements of all 3 of these cars. it looks like the roof overlaps the front windshield. notice the shadow at the top of the windshield and look at the other cars. At least thats what I see does anyone else see that

first i want to i hope everyone enjoyed their new years. A happy and a heath to all on autopuzzles.

I was wondering if anyone can help me. Their was is a car i believe either a Rolls Royce, Duesenberg, Maybe a Packard or Cadillac that had it's normal Hood Ornament (Ex: Spirit Of Ecstacy) removed and replaced with something else does anyone know of any it might have been for a certain wealth individual or special person. It's not a modern Rolls Royce for sure this time. This isn't a puzzle question if anyone was going to ask

Happy New Year To All

You will find more than one car with that kind of personalized hood ornaments. Amongst the most valuable are the crystal hood ornaments done by the Art Nouveau artist Réné Lalique. I've attached an example, an Auburn with a crystal lady.

If you do a google image search for "lalique radiator mascots" you'll find a ton of 'em.  They're almost an automotive genre unto themselves.  And they ain't cheap!

I don't know any of these cars, but I can give a little help for the second one: the "H" at the end of the license plate (= historic vehicle license) shows that the car has to be older than 30 years.

I have that yellow one on my HD for months but couldn't find any definite info so far. Some source mentions the name "Dauphine Proto", but that doesn't make sense to me...
