Looks pretty much like a copy of Terry Cook's 1939 Lincoln Zephyr-based "Scrape" lead sled.

The next thing to name ist this little old spider. The structure of the number plate is obviously French. But ist is not an Amilcar or stuff, at least I found none like this. The brand label reads "GAP" or "CAP" what makes it little promising to search for a brand with this name. Hope you can help.

Hi,

here my Christmas surprise! A Japanese experimental racecar. But do you think googling for that gives a matching result? Of course not. I also wondered a lot about the bow shape. Then I had an idea: this thing might have been thought as probably fastest rice harvester ever!
Well, this was a joke. Hope you can seriously identify it!

Well, I would be happy with people getting points here for solving my requests, but I know I cannot change the rules!

Next one: who is able to identify this attractive open offroader? The scenery behind is North American.

We're very happy to have  you here as a member Romanic Technofreak, and we're very happy to help you with answers to questions you have regarding rare cars, but this board is not a board on which to set puzzles to which you know the answer!

To set puzzles you first need to gain 50 points as a Rookie to become an Expert; only then you can set your own puzzles!

As I said if you have pictures you can't identify we're always happy to assist if someone here knows the answer, but please don't set puzzles here on the Information Requests board.

Thanks

Hi Carnut, I was only doing a bit of smalltalk. I lack the ability to share or create a puzzle. Everything I ask here is unknown to me.

Nobody knows the green offroader? So let's go ahead.

The next thing that drives me to desparation is this yellow plastic-body-lookalike. The obviously British number plate should stick on a Lotus or whatever, but none looks exactly like this. Googling for "ELV 803" is the next idea. No hits either. What is it? YOU are my last hope!

It's an Elva Courier, probably a Mk II from about 1960.
Hence the ELV registration plate...

Google it and you'll see lots of pictures of Elva Couriers.

Thank you Carnut!

Next one. This time I admit I make it a bit easy for myself because I mean by a lot of work I could find out this Wolseley or Riley or Sunbeam or what this British in the foreground may be. But you know it for sure by heart. Do you? If so, tell me please! ;)

It's an Armstrong Siddeley of some sort.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Next one - one may think people here look so happy and proud for owning a Rolls-Royce, if you consider the massive grille. But the scenery looks US-American, and so probably the brand ist too. Do you know it? If so, please tell me!

Many Rolls-Royces were bodied in the US, mainly by Brewster.
This looks like a Silver Ghost from about 1920, although I don't know a great deal about cars from this era; but there are plenty on here who do!

Thank you Carnut.

The next photo: who knows this little racy spider? The picture is connotated with the name "David Busfield", where I don't know if it is the name of the driver, or the photographer, or whoever. The uniform of the soldier looks French to me.

Thank you for answers, and regards,

Looks like the Mille Miglia, around 1950 or so.
Might be a Stanguellini or one of the other etceterini but it needs a bigger expert than me to say!

I tried my best to verify this. And OK - a Stanguellini 750 Sport with #202 shared the Mille Miglia 1956. It is still not easy to say because the type is so very variable. You cannot find a picture that exactly shows this body. A near hit is

So thank you Carnut!

For me, a real nightmare is 9286-AL-13. Such a clear picture, but the car is impossible to find! The two women and the bald-headed man look like southerners. The number plate should be French, "13" is the departement where Marseilles is located, so Southern France is an option for the scenery. But what makes ist worse, I think I got the same type in another picture. Now it stands in a museum. But still it was not labeled. Only difference I can see are the slots on the cowling. When I called it "Hotchkiss" that was for the Hotchkiss symbol on the wall in the background. But there is no such Hotchkiss. I think it must be a Renault. Nervastella 1932 or stuff. But should that not be possible to find? For me - impossible. Hopefully you know it!

That's a 1935/36 Delahaye 135 Sport.
