I know this car. It was sold under the name Landwind CV9 (that is the Landwind logo on the grille), but Landwind belongs in part to Chang'An so I would not be surprised if it had been sold under the Chang'An (or Chana) marque as well.
As you said, it was designed in Italy, by I.DE.A to be precise. The reason I came in contact with the car, back in 2008 I think, is because some units were sold in Europe by a Belgian importer; however, the front bumper of the car as it had been originally conceived for China did not comply with European pedestrian safety regulations, and had to be hastily redesigned so it could be homologated for sale in the EU. This redesign was done by the company I work for in Spain, and I am the person who drew he shape of the new bumper according to the legal requirements.
Below are a couple of pictures of the car with the Euro-spec bumper.
