I will add what I am experiencing in the most logical manner I can think of.
Computer #1: Hewlett Packard PC Windows 7 OS.
1. Using Google Chrome as the browser to access AP is useless.
The images are more or less the same size as the original poster put up and the posting information is on the right side rather than on the left which is much easier to read. This is when you open a section and before you select a specific post.
2. Using Safari as the browser to access AP is functionally almost back to where it was in Mid May before the "problems".
If nothing else is done, as far as I can see it would work almost as before except I lost the scrolling feature on the mouse but that is probably something I have to fix.
Computer #2 Mac with Lion or whatever it is called OS.
1. Using Google Chrome as the browser to access AP is better but still problematic. The images are smaller but still of various sizes based on the size the original poster put up. Posting information is still on the right.
2. Using Safari as the browser to access AP is almost 100% back to the situation prevailing in Mid May and my mouse also works. I do have to enlarge the screen display "X 3" every time I return to the site but that is probably a setting issue here.
Other:
As everyone else experienced I guess, I had dozens of medals for a few hours early today and as I use my city, state and country as my country of residence, I got to know the temperature and local time in Atlanta, Ga. I think I also saw Linz, Austria and a couple of others like that. I guess if you just use the country alone it did not pick it up. Both of these items have now gone away.
I have not tried to post a photo yet and that is my next task. I will try to post on each computer and on each browser and see what works.
Other than mouse settings and maybe display settings, I am not, repeat not going to fiddle around with cookies, caches, refreshing or whatever. I am very poor with computers, even when I get advice, the advisor assumes I know "steps 1 through 10" and starts me at "step 11" and everything crashes. I then have to spend $250 for some "Home Computer Service" to come to the house and try to straighten out the mess. This has happened 4 times over the years and I don't want it again.
I will wait to see how much gets fixed vis a vis PC and Mac and if the fixes cover the major browsers. If nothing else happens, I can use Safari, preferably on the Mac.
Hope that helps.
