Anyone thought about creating a Facebook account for AP? I thought of it today when I was checking out StreetLegalTV.com that I found through their FB page.

Isn't facebook a site for teenage girls to tell the public things about themselves that the public doesn't want to know and which their mothers would rather nobody knew?
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Teenage girls or boys, I guess, because when I go there it gives me pimps.

It used to be. It has grown up from its founding.

Welcome to the 21st century! ;D
We're already twittering, so, why not a facebook account as well?
I reckon to add autopuzzles.com to my friend list...

Agreed. Facebook is becoming an integral part of any brand's marketing presence, whether your brand sells cars, pimple cream, or anything else.

Would Facebook afford any functionality that is not available on this forum? Not many. Does it give this site a lot more exposure? It could, if it's properly managed. And there's the rub.

When we started tweeting this site some months ago, I tweeted every new article, and every featured puzzle. However, as near as I can determine, none of those tweets was re-tweeted or commented on. I also created a Twitter Twibe, but, again, nobody joined in. So, I let the latter die out.

I tried twitter once, I wasn't impressed (was not aware AP had an account). My thought regarding FB was purely for exposure.

I wonder how difficult it would be to set up an auto post (like when the featured puzzles are updated it posts the photo to FB automatically)?

Indeed.  Kinda interesting the number of business pages that are popping up every day.

I joined a couple years or so ago because my sister kept telling me how many people kept asking her about me.  So, I decided to join, figuring I'd visit it every so often.  Well, now, I try to visit at least once a day ... and have reconnected with friends that I may never have ... and had no idea where they were in life at this point.  It has been very cool reconnecting!

I joined Facebook quite late, in 2014 (5 days earlier, actually...) and I must confess, if you skip the tons and tons of stupid, trivial and useless posts, it's a fantastic tool to connect people.
I managed to contact some Authors of books I couldn't find, manufacturers (or their relatives) of obscure cars and a lot of car enthusiasts like me.
I'm going to add any AP member who would like to join and from time to time, I use to post some 'puzzles' there too.
Link to my page is below each post of mine.
(I decided to post this after I've been looking for a book for years and years just to find that the author was an Autopuzzle member!)

There has been a (largely dormant) Auto Puzzles Facebook page for a while.

Yes, if we want to attract new puzzlers, we need to spice up the Facebook site and work on our SEO. The good thing is, I will finally have time for this during the next few weeks. Ultra, can I receive access to the Facebook page? I have some ideas, which we can discuss here.

I'm inviting many friends to join, but they sometimes tell me they can't sign-in because they get a red face.
I don't know how is the registration procedure nowadays, but I hope it's not that complicated.

This is the latest example:

FRIEND: i had a (short) look at your profile... very interesting cars, some i never saw or heard before...
ME: I love obscure cars...my goal would be never to find a car that makes me say 'what is this?'
do you know Autopuzzles?
FRIEND: no
ME: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php
 we do know your website...
FRIEND: do i have to register to have access to autopuzzle?
i'm getting a red face...
ME: yes.
registration procedure changed since I joined, but it's free and not too long (I hope)
FIENRD: so i will try, later...
ME: ok, you won't regret
