I've only found this post just now (yes, I've been away for a while...) and I have to say I understand both positions on this argument. I personally have helped Arunas publishing some articles on his website and all sources I provided and pics & info were meticulously credited. I can't believe he hasn't credited some on purpouse, he's a very respectfull fellow with the others' work. I'm glad to see the issue has been solved but I think this has been nothing but a misunderstanding on both sides. If anyone felt like he was in prejudice with Arunas' posts, all he needed to do was expose his claims and I'm sure everything would've been cleared.
Obviously I think each and every right has to be always protected and Ultra's and his team's astonishing work on this reference website obviously have to be protected. And I understand Ultra's reaction to this "attack", it sure must take a lot of work to keep a site like this and then see their work be taken by others as their own (which I sincerely believe wasn't the case). Although it seems to me there should've been a bit more "negociating" before "attacking", I mean, the doubts should've been discussed between the parts in order to find a peacefull solution. Only if no solutions was found should attournies and bannings start to appear. Nevertheless, I think it would be positive for both sides if AP was credited. I mean, Arunas would be the one to gain more with that, don't you think? Who'd you prefer to credit your findings, to some unknown dude or the greatest online rare car site there is?

Gentlemen, I would like to add, for the record; In this thread I functioned as an advocate for the rights of each and every member of this community to receive proper credit for the work they have submitted here according to the laws that govern this site and its content.  I was forceful and direct, possibly to the detriment of diplomacy but most effectively in ensuring that the rights of the membership here to receive proper acknowledgment for their work will be maintained.

I guess what I am saying is that I would rather my lawyer be a shark than a pushover.  I play a pretty vicious game of chess if anyone would be interested.

Is this the reason most of the puzzle pics now have a name pastered all over them?

If so, I understand.

But I'm really sorry to see it.

It is distracting and looks completely out of place, IMO.

Kinda like drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa...

Agreed, but it's possible to do it in a more subtle way..

I agree with metalshapes. I like my coffee black, my Mona Lisa without a moustache, and my mystery cars with nothing added but mystery.
