Despite those challenging times, I wish all of you a 'Happy Christmas'...

...but, furthermore, may you be able to identify this car for one point? Who? When? Where?

This puzzle will stay in the 'Rookies-section only for one day (22/12/2020)! Then moved up to the Experts (23/12/2020), Professionals (24/12/2020), and eventually to the Masters on 25/12/2020....
...unless it will be solved before....

Please go many steps backwards in the alphabet... and think about a well-known type's name...

Well, what kept me thinking in the former direction was that I thought I had recognized a landau bar at the side of the car. So I was looking for some DHC bodies like Tickford. Famous model names were Midget, Magna and Magnette. What puzzles me is the absence of a visible spare wheel at the rear which rules out the vast majority of MG bodywork, and your alphabetic hint rules out T-Type Midgets. The rear light / number plate unit looks like late 30's (alas my VA guess). But to get on I have to make another guess: Is it a Magnette?

Yes, you are right, it is a Magnette... Perfect! A special one! At a special rallye event! At a special location in the far north...

MG Magnette, chassis number: NA 0307, Engine number: 553AN, Registration number: JB 3852.
It took part in the 1935 Rallye Monte Carlo, starting in Umea in North Sweden, driven by Symons and Kindell.
