I've found what I think might be the same car; a one-off Barchetta built in Italy around 1953-54 and based on a DKW 3=6 1000. I'm struggling with the builder's name though. Could it possibly be Carlotto?

The car was at Padova and the people there were not aware of its builder before I met them

I spoke with its builder and collect few info. He built 2 cars and your name is closely related the the other car he built.

It may have been more of a coincidence than you think. The puzzle image was part of a set of photos which appeared in several 2013 'for sale' listings by then-owner Mauro Carlotto. In at least one of these listings, Carlotto stated that he did not know who had built the vehicle. Therefore, it seems unlikely that the builder's other creation would somehow be related to Mr. Carlotto. Any similarity in the name must have been coincidental.

Mauro Carlotto was offering this car long ago and I read that he was not aware of its builder...but Roberto Carlotto (probably his brother) had a similar car built for him by the same Carrozzeria (featured here too)! I do not know if he really was not aware or if he was just leaving a bit of a mistery. Its builder has nothing against his name to be known and both cars were made by him.

The Roberto Carlotto car sold at auction a few years ago and that auction description can be found in multiple places online. Unfortunately, the auction house dedicated more catalog space to describing Roberto Carlotto than to describing the actual car being offered. The description mentions that the car was designed by Roberto Carlotto, but then simply states that Carlotto "commissioned an Italian coachbuilder to fit a bespoke Barchetta body."
