Costin-Nathan
Debut: 1966, Spider-configuration, Imp engine
1967: Converted to Coupe-configuration, at first: Imp-engine, then replaced by a Lotus Twin-Cam engine. Only Costin-Nathan with aluminium bodywork

This car, with a central plywood-monocoque, front and rear tubular space frames, debuted in racing 1966. With Roger Nathan on the wheel and in spyder configuration. Nathan's most important success culminated in a win over the favorite Abarths at the "Coupe de Paris" 1966.
Following changes of FIA-Sports- and GT-car-regulations, Frank Costin an Roger Nathan changed the bodywork of the car to coupe-configuration for 1967. It has been displayed at the "Race Car Show",Olympia, London, January 1967. At first, the usual Imp-engine was mounted midships.
After selling the car to G.M. Horsley, the Imp-lump was replaced by an Lotus Twin-Cam-engine. Driver Chris Meek went to a class win in Snetterton, the other results were very disappointing.
Then the car went in a 45 year storage, to be auctioned in 2016...
