“It was called “The Gat” and it was made out of chicken wire, electrical conduit and it was melb I think. Maybe down around Flinders”
"For a while in Newcastle in the mid 1960's, one of the car yards in Islington had a fibreglass "special", similar in concept to the one pictured, up for sale. The salesman commented that the car was actually quite heavy as the fibreglass was so thick. From memory !!, I think it might have had a sidevalve Ford up front. It was on the market for a long while, then disappeared."
