Who knows this car? For one point, tell me the name of the car and the name of the driver.

JBW MASERATI , driver Brian Naylor

Easy-peasy for the motor sport man! This is the 1959/60 version, fitted for F1 purposes with the Maserati 250S motor. Brian Naylor had a habit of sticking with expensive Italian engines which weren't competitive when he could just as easily bought a Climax FPF and possibly achieved better results.

:sigh: Another that came up and was solved while I was away for a couple of days.  The photo was taken at the 1960 British GP at Silverstone where the car finished 13th, 5 laps behind, after a pitstop.  The only time the JBW-Maserati finished a Championship GP

Back in the days when I could wander round the paddock with a camera at the British Grand Prix I took this photo.
For a point I need the make of car and engine and there's a bonus point if you can name either the entrant or driver.

Not bad for four minutes! It took me as long to check the answers (it was nearly 60 years ago!).
Locked for you to correct a slight spelling error!

JBW-Maserati, of course.... constructed by Fred Wilkinson, very closely influenced by the contemporary Cooper cars....

That's what I wanted!
I think there was quite a lot of Cooper about that car and in the Motor Sport report of the race it is referred to as JBW-Maserati and Cooper-Maserati.
Anyway two points for you.

I though one of my offerings today was a repost but not this one.
Since it was solved by a Rookie, there's no harm done - fromwien isn't going to stay a rookie for long, I think.
Someone could merge the two threads please.
