Company was already named Emslie & Flockton in the fifties. I can't find any other name.

Maybe my source mispelled the name. I have it as Emsley & Flocton. Just one piece is missing, the company for this bus was built.

Still locked

I've found a very similar bus with this caption : "Restored 1937 Chevrolet bus that used to work in the Glenorchy area".
Am I on the right track ?

"In 1942, an open top 1937 Chevrolet bus was brought up to Kinloch on the SS Earnslaw to join the fleet of six buses operated by R.H. Bryant of 'Routeburn Valley Motors', one of the first tourist operators in the region."

Is Bryant the name you're expecting ?

I think you can safely say the correct spelling of the builder's name is Emslie & Flockton; there aren't two different companies with almost identical names surely?!
