I've checked my source, and the current owner of the puzzle car is indeed called Jean -----, but he's not the builder.

I've found more than 25 different pictures and a few videos, with no names. I've seen an interview with the builder, he said that he used 2 CV (engine), Mehari (gearbox) and Duport (basis) parts.

As Meyer seems to like giving his cars funny names, the red one is called Ferrarire = Ferrari + rire (laugh), it was probably him who added the Meharikiki = Méhari + rikiki (tiny) name to the puzzle car.
