Is it a name known for etceterinis or other cars in general?

Not very known at all, I'd say.

I have a short list of Jap-powered Italian cars from that era, like Nardi's Chichibio or Garanzini.
If the answer is somewhere to be found, I'll do my homework...in case it's not, you can unlock and we can all play the guessing game.  ;)

There is at least a book that mentions this car. It's obscure, but for sure not an impossible task for you.
I'll keep it locked still for a while.

Is the name we are looking for known (not very known at all actually) for 'production' cars, racing cars or special cars for himself?

No, AFAIK. Just a man who paid for the construction of this one-off. I don't know if he had other special cars.

I don't think I have that particular book, then.
You can unlock.
Is he a known person?

No, he is not famous (and the book, BTW tells just the surname).
I could add that, considering the region and the surname, he could probably be a relative of my grandmother, but it's definitely not a clue (neither she ever told me of an uncle making a sportscar).

So, unlocked.

Yes...I found a pic of it and it's quite different...is this book a recent one, by Giunti?

Rather recent (less than 10 years) but from a small publisher. The author, however, is well-known.
The funny thing is that I'd say you sent me some scans of it...  :lmao:

There is only one place where to look then. Was he from Sicily?

I'm starting to think I'm not looking at the right book.
Is the publisher 'Legenda'?

Self-published, I'd say (no publisher name on the cover). Not Legenda. But a well-known Italian motoring book author.
And the title is rather obvious (re-read this thread  ;)).

A book about Italian cars.
Rather recent (less than 10 years).
from a small publisher (Self-published).
no publisher name on the cover.
A well-known Italian motoring book author.
I sent you some scans of it.
Title is rather obvious.

The clue about your grandmother is totally obscure, unless you are suggesting it's a name coming from Sardinia, like yours.
I sent you some scans, but mostly magazines and the books I thought (Curami's and Rastrelli's) do not fit your clues (Giorgio Nada and Legenda).
Reading this thread I can think of 'Il menù dei Motori', because they are all about Modena (il Pianeta Modena), but I just have few extracts of those publications...and I don't think I ever sent you scans of your books...  :-\

My grandmother was from Reggio Emilia (and her family owned a farm estate somewhere in the countryside more or less where this car was built), but I believe you have no chance to find her mother's name. Unless you solve this puzzle.

"Menu dei Motori" is indeed in the right direction. If I'm not wrong, the author of this book is also a contributor. And, again, a very well-known local author. If we were speaking in Italian, all would have been much easier, as I'd wrote "autrice"  ;).

Ok, but now have you understood which book is it? She wrote many, but one is specifically about...
