It is a BMW, but not a 502. Have a closer look.

It is not the lack of vent windows, the 501 A didn't have any either initially, but it is the lack of chrome trim around the two small horizontal grilles beneath the headlights. But  you have correctly identified the car as a BMW 501 B.

Wendax, I think it is a 501 from the first series, round rim holes! From 501 A/B there were oval holes.
