Has the manufacturer built cars after 1930?

A summary - British manufacturer before 1930. A clue - this car is unlike any others they built, in an important way.

NOT one of the following:-

Beardmore
Belsize-Bradshaw
BSA
Crouch
Gillett
GWK
Emscote
Lagonda
Lington
Rhode
Seaton-Petter
Stringer
Surrey
Warren-Lambert

Were the others three-wheelers?

Well done Allan! Yes - this is a car with 4 wheels from a maker usually associated with 3-wheelers.

That could be the key, but may lead to a lot of searching.
I'll start by guessing LSD from Huddersfield to the design of Mr Longbottom, as the period is right and there are some similarities. However Georgano makes no mention of a four-wheeler so perhaps not.

Not the LSD. This car IS chronicled.

Castle Three / Castle Four

YES! You have solved two difficult puzzles of mine today.  This is the prototype built in 1922 of a four-wheeled car for the Castle Three factory. The manufacturer closed down that same year.

A point to Fedor. I think I will title this car as a Castle Four.

Thanks, I've spent a fair amount of time looking for a picture of this car. I hope it's possible to get a better scan of the image at some point.

I have re-scanned the magazine page - this is the best I can do, The magazine were reproducing a reader's photo. Apparently the car had the same Peters engine as the 3-wheeler and was donated to the Birmingham museum.
