Austin based?
That's possible. I don't know what it was based on; I only know when, where, and by whom.

Andy Anderson's car
'Anderson' is correct but I have a different first name. (Could be a nickname?) Can you tell me where and when to confirm it is the same person? Locked for you to provide additional information.

His name is Alf Anderson in a certain issue of a magazine (1958-05-01) and Andy Anderson few weeks later (1959-02-05).
I took 'Andy' because in the second article there were more info and an additional picture.
He lived in Gisborne, New Zealand.
