Please be so kind and identify this car for one point! May you imagine its purpose too?

Good luck and have fun....

This is a 1937 Western Clipper, designed to be a mobile sales office by well-known designer Brooks Stevens. It is said to have been built on an International Harvester cabover truck chassis, using a flathead Ford V8 for power. Similar vehicles were built over the years, and their spec changed, some even adapted to be front wheel drive.

LOCKED! It is not Ford powered, like the Johnson Wax housecar, and this car is not front-wheel-driven..., but it is a 1937 Western Clipper, designed by Brooke Stevens.
For a company and a special purpose they needed. If you can tell me, the point will be yours!

"They were built for the Western Publishing Company of Racine, Wisconsin to be used as mobile sales offices."

The original engine was replaced by a Chevrolet 327ci. V8 from the 1960s. This would have increased the power available from 85 horsepower to 250-350 horsepower, depending on tune. This is a heavily built truck, possibly loaded with printed materials, so it certainly could use the added push.

Thank you! Thanks also for the additional picture. This was a good looking example of the era and type.
