Yes, after they had fulfilled their task in regular service, this Ikarus 66 and another one were converted into mobile repair bases for the local housing authority. It is already clear that this took place in the GDR, now only the year of the conversion is missing. Start guessing, the puzzle is still locked for you. Please be patient with my answers: Family reunion over several days.

Yes, in 1977 two Ikarus 66 busses were converted into mobile workshops by the municipal apartment administration in Görlitz (Saxony, GDR).
Attached fotos from 1979/80. No informations about the busses after 1986.
