Another puzzle too easy for you, fromwien.  My sources that I had on this puzzle were therefore correct.  One more good point for you

I think that the puzzle photo may show the car fitted with wider tyres for competing in an event which was not  to the FF2000 regulations. Maybe a formule libre race or hillclimb. The high engine cover is confusing - the engine is much smaller than that, but maybe it acted as an intake for air.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

I agree with you. Under the high engine cover, the exhaust system found its place. High over the valve cover. Usually it can be clearly seen at the right side of the car. On the photo, I was missing it, as also the usual side pods. So the puzzle car was a long time mystery for me

Dear, BERTRAND, this was a very challenging puzzle for all of us, I think. Yes, your source was correct, but, as stated by 'nicanary', the puzzle photo may show the car fitted with wider tyres for competing in an event which was not  to the FF2000 regulations.
