The owner of the car has a wikipedia page, the designer does not. Both were involved in Modernism - one rather less than the other - and both produced (excellent) buildings that are still standing today.

Maxwell Maberly-Smith (designer of the first production Sunbeam automobile) was an architect, but I suppose that would have been too obvious.

The magazine this appeared in was from January 1928, so I think safe to assume 1927 for the car's build
