This is interesting. It IS a GN, contrary to your post #6, and is owned by Ben Enticknap. I can find the car on various sites, including Facebook, Flickr and old Chateau Impney events. They all mention 1922.. However, the GN was manufactured from 1913 to 1922 almost without any major change, and it could date from any of those years. It is clearly fitted with a V-twin JAP 998cc.

This is getting more complicated. In News & Information Allan Lupton has posted information about a GN Phoenix Special raced by Tom Rolt which was constructed in 1936. My information says this had a Bugatti Brescia engine, and looks nothing like a GN, even if the chassis is one. Was the present-day Phoenix an attempt to put the car back to its original state?

I found this puzzle in a blog dedicated to cyclecar under the name Phoenix. I also see that on Flickr it also has the name Phoenix GN Special. So I'm going to validate it under that name and give you the point nicanary

Thank you. I'm sorry I ruined your puzzle by being difficult. I think they're are probably the same car - Tom Rolt built the Phoenix in 1936 and it was a GN chassis with Bugatti engine and the modern streamlined body in the photo. For some reason it has been restored as a more original GN with V-twin engine (if it is the same car - of course there could be 2 Phoenix Specials!).
