Dirty Bird

Dave bought himself a parrot at he pet store. It was fully grown and possessed of a large vocabulary that included many swear words and dirty jokes.

Dave just do not know what to do - he was not able to have the parrot in the room when he had visitors, because of the barrage of offensive jokes and cursing. He tried asking the parrot to stop swearing; he bought the bird foreign language tapes. Nothing worked.

One day, completely fed up and frustrated, Dave threw the parrot in the freezer. The parrot began to scream and curse a streak. But after a while, there was no more noise from the fowl. Concerned, Dave opened the freezer door and removed the nearly-frozen pet. The shivering parrot apologized to Dave for his transgressions, and promised to never again curse or tell dirty jokes. Dave was amazed by the change of behavior. He wasn't sure why the spell in the cooler worked so well, but the change was indeed quite welcome.

One night, while Dave was reading the paper after dinner, the parrot asked: "By the way, what did the chicken do?”
