Today and all this week the station will be focusing on the Alpena Blues Festival, which it sponsors.  The Hanks will be appearing at the Blues Festival this Saturday.  You can check out the Blues Festival here:

This morning, Joey Spina was on the air on B-Rock and this afternoon, The Hanks will appear all together live on the air for a number.  During this morning's broadcast, both "Rock Me Baby" from the new Hanks CD and "Fine" from Joey's solo effort were played.  It is the first time the Lachine Machine has had airplay for one of it's artists and we got airplay for two of them!  In order to better savor the moment, I recorded it and included it here for all of you to give it a listen.  It is a long MP3 but definitely worth the download:

BTW - I didn't get the CD for father's day - my kids took me to see 'Cars'. Great movie for car guys, if you haven't seen it.

I think it is awesome, also.

The band is promoting the release of their new CD on the air at 3:15 and the CD release party at the 10th Ave tonight as well as the Blues fest.  Even my mother is coming to the CD release party now.    She will also be at the Blues fest this weekend.
