No, it's a '96 Chevy Corsica...don't laugh, it's paid for.  The ABS is mechanical, not entirely computerized, and it grabs like crazy the first couple of times I have to stop in cold weather, usually below about 20F or so.  My '99 Dodge Grand Caravan ES also has ABS and traction control.  I can turn off the traction control, but not the ABS.  Didn't know any car would let you do that.

I like GTOs...never driven one, but have been in a couple.  Everybody says they look like big Cavaliers, but I see a hint of BMW here and there in the lines.

Being able to turn off your brain probably makes it easier to deal with your marks....errr, patients.   :hah:

That they did. I'm sure product liability prevents them from offering that feature today. Although you can still pull the ABS fuse, assuming there's nothing else that shares a circuit.

Tons of old Ford products with broken ABS sensors running around too. Apparently there are a couple years where they are very pricey to replace so most people don't.

I've owned exactly one vehicle that has had abs

The ABS was always a little screwy on my SHO. It would either cut in way too soon on rainy roads, making it difficult to stop, or it wouldn't work at all. Also, that car went through rear brakes like nothing I've ever seen. The stealership said they're all that way.

Rear brakes? Bizzare - they hardly do anything. My wife's old Dodge Shadow had rear brakes that were missing all the springs and such from the factory - took ten years to catch  :lmao:

I have had old cars where the rear drum brakes seized.   My solution; Wire the slave cylinder in the drum closed, remove the shoes and keep on driving.

Never been to NoDak, but SoDak was interesting...so was Montana and Nevada...I was 16, and it was 1970.  Family went to San Francisco in August.  Only a nightime speed limit in Montana[55? Whazzup with that?], and none at all in Nevada...everybody was flying by at about 90 or so...I don't think we met another car in Wyoming...

HD has a pretty comprehensive rental service throughout the country, FWIU....I, for one, would love to have you with us.

BTW, Wild Hogs pretty much accurately depicts my buddy and I, the first two charter members of the Drunken Bastards MC.
