FWIW, I could never play very well when alcohol was the drug of choice; herbal enhancements, on the other hand, always made me feel like I was playing better.  When all was said and done, for me, it seemed like I was best when stone-cold sober and in what I can only describe as "the zone," where I'd get off stage and be complimented by someone on what I'd just played and not be able to remember what the hell it was.... :-\

I don't think excessive quantities of booze does anyone's ability that much good. Herbal remedies, OTOH... I know some people who can be so stoned they can barely function, yet something just "clicks". Good luck asking them to repeat what they just played, though.

Which is your prediction of the best/most competitive series this year?

MG

My guess is that for the first time in a LONG time, Formula One will give the fans plenty of close racing.

NASCAR will continue to feature 3500 lbs cars running nose to tail for 500 laps.... :snooze:

Indy will mimic NASCAR but without fenders.... :snooze: :snooze:

For my money, the best flat out, no holds barred racing on TV is the British Touring Car Championship. That and SuperBike racing are about as good as it gets if you enjoy races that feature furious action and multiple lead changes on road courses.

Anyone know where I can get a torrent of an F1 race after the fact?

Rich

I love the idea of going to a superbike race...have to Google and see if there's any around here.... ???

MG

Nah, its better on TV. Bring the bride and the brood here to Huckleberry Ridge and we'll watch some races, drink some beers and swap some lies. Sounds like fun to me.   ;D

Yeah, this could be one heckuva season for all the big league series...lotsa variables; like in F1, everybody is shuffling teams, and Ferrari is restructuring...NASCAR will have Juan Montoya and
see the debut of the Car Of Tomorrow, which will give a lot of teams fits...and Danica Patrick will finally be part of one of the top teams in the IRL.

Should make for some serious action!

I can't wait!
