If I lived closer, you might see me there, just for having someone else to kick around with and make fun of things.

And THAT is exactly what it is about for me.

Then we go to Fishbones and get spicy Bloody Mary's and great cajun food!  Hang out in Greektown for a while, catch a band, possibly the casino and, if the crowd is right, maybe even go over to Windsor for some adult entertainment.

My days of "adult entertainment" look more like the kids spending the night at their aunt's so the missus and I can have a real dinner and then go to bed early....to sleep. :-\

Saw a lime green Toyota Sera at lunch today - neat little car but with a 1.5L engine saddled with an autotragic tranny I'll bet its no ball of fire. Like below (same colour even)

If it weren't for Charlie, I'd never have discovered Greektown... who knew Detroit had culture. :lmao:

The Bloody Marys at Fishbones are top notch.  If I weren't going to be 2000 miles away by this weekend, I might make the drive just for that.

As much as I want to come visit Detroit in January, I'm going to be stuck in miserable Steamboat Springs, Colorado by this weekend.

Life's a bitch.

Anyone else?

I should PM Dan Speed.  He always meets me there.

Rich?  I could get a few others from the boards to make an appearance if you graced us with yours.

When is it?  Remember, I'm coming off a year of downsizing and $$ are a bit on the scarce side.....

FWIW, you can't imagine how much I'd like to get together w/ some of the other goofuses on this site........

I could come at anytime between the Jan 13 - 21st dates.  I can find out when Shay is going to be there.  Dan Speed will attend.  There are others who might make it also.  Your prescence could help influence a confluence.  It could easily be quite the scene.  We've even got housing for you.

So, live a little and just do it, dammit.

Sadly, yes.

Perhaps we should start a support group.

I briefly owned an 88 wagon with the usual shaky transmission and also the head gasketblowing 3.8L V6. My Dad owned a 97 wagon which had a power seat that almost killed me once - moved all the way forward by its self crushing my legs as I drove down the highway.
