have gotten kind of tired of the car stuffAh,

There will never again be a vehicle that makes the impact on cardom that the 356 and the XK-120 did. And never again will Healeys and Jags and MG's race through the streets of Watkins Glen, where. according to legend, one contestant in 1952 put his racing TD into a perfect 4 wheel drift at one corner, slid gracefully into the outdoor seating area of a trackside bistro and decided to order a beer as long as he was already there!
Personally, I fail to see the individual allure of 472 Harley pilots in a clot moving along at 45 mph, all wearing the same outfit and driving identical machines, but maybe I suffer from myopia on that subject.
It is clear that we have entered an era where there is a fierce competition to distinguish ourselves by joining certain "clubs" - Harley drivers, owners of rugged, flared, big tired snorting beast trucks or religious lunatics. Its all part of the same ball of wax. The more of us there are, the more we flagellate ourselves to be different from the madding crowd and end up begetting even MORE homogeneousness in our society.
