It did! It did!
Now...can anyone tell me what it is?
Dan
The werecar from Futurama.
Yep, it's Project Satan...built in 2019 by Anti-Chrysler of parts taken from the most evil automobiles ever made. A top secret project of the U.S. government, it utilized the steering wheel from Hitler's staff car, the left turn signal from Charles Manson's VW and the windshield wipers from the Knight Rider[the car wasn't evil, but its' windshield wipers were...it didn't come up much in the show, though...]. And, it was powered by Ed Begley Jr.'s electric motor...the most evil propulsion system ever conceived.
Somebody at Futurama was a car nut...a lot of the vehicles have styling touches from the "50's.
In one episode, robot gangsters who drive a hovercar that strongly resembles a late '70's Lincoln Town Car; in another, they have a spaceship that looks like a '34 Ford. There's a hovercar in another episode that is obviously supposed to be a red Corvette C4.
And in one Simpsons episode, from the same production company, Homer drove a Superbird.
There's a website,
www.imcdb.com, that concerns itself with automobiles used in movies... it's based in France, but there are a lot of American and British films included in the database; and it's available in English. It's worth a look...
