When you're a narcissist, there is no one else.

Now that you have found your true love, may you live happily ever after.

Not if it's good....

It is good.  Bias aside, I would encourage anyone to taste test my pizza and decide for themselves.

No, I don't get tired of it.  Once or twice a week still after all of these years in the food business.

Do you stay with the same recipes and ingredients?  I used to work for a major pizza delivery company about 25 years ago, and we were constantly changing sauce ingredients and types of sausage.  Also, every month or so, there was a new official company method of draining mushrooms and cutting onions.

I'm a serious connoisseur of fattening foods, and I wouldn't say this unless I meant it. Having sampled U's wares, I can say it's on par with the best pizza I've tried anywhere... and living in a Big Ten college town, one gets exposed to a lot of good mom n' pop pizza places.

I make the same pizza everyday, with the same recipe that I got from my mother's pizzeria.   I make them always with the same ingredients.  The very best ingredients money can buy.  I should know.  I worked for two of the largest, most respected foodservice companies in the world as a salesmen.    Sysco Food Services and Gordon Food Service, if you are curious.  I could teach you quite a lot about food.  Most of it, however,  you would really rather not know.   ;)

I never get sick of pizza, but avoid the most of chains (Little Caesers, Dominos, etc.) When Jet's started out, they were pretty good, but now that they have expanded, not so great.

I do enjoy a good pizza - usually avoid the chain store stuff (although the Pizza Hut stuffed crush can be good). There is a little place near where I work that sells massive slices for $2.50 each - good stuff athough the place its self is rather dingy. Best pizza I've ever had was in England in a little village.

I worked for Domino's before all the bad publicity over the 30 minute guarantee got started.  It was really exciting to see a company really "get off the ground" ; CIP: the company newsletter really played up the expansion into Canada, where they were flying blind ... especially the farther north they went.  This was 1983, and the vehicle chosen for delivery there was a Russian Lada, complete with an auxiallary starter crank!  In Sault St. Marie, Michigan, they used small boats to deliver to the lakers at the locks, and Jeep  CJs ffor the rest of the area.  They ran a pipe from the exhaust manifold to the beds of small pickup trucks to keep the hotboxes warm in some places.

Also, the guys who franchised out in Alaska and Canada had to make their own sauce[according to company recipes, which constantly changed...], because the company couldn't send trucks there.  They might have had to make their own sausage, too...I don't remember.

My favorite of the big chains was always Noble Roman's; the Monster was the best, followed by the Deep Dish Sicillain.  Some of the bigger malls in the area have Luca's Pizza, and that's a pretty good slice, New York style...but I agree, the best pizza in town is usually local.  Pizza Hut ,  Domino's and all the other big chains all taste the same to me.

I could tell you some delivery stories...

I am very familiar with Sault Ste Marie MI.  It is one of the areas I covered for Gordon Food Service.

Lada Nivas - very sturdy and cheap but not very fast. The 30 min guarntee isn't offered in the winter here.
