YES!  That's the dude!   Then he fell in with Roy Orbison, Kris Kristoferson, George Harrison and Tom Petty as part of the Travelling Dingleberries!     :o

Gibson with F holes.  Boxer would do well with that.

It was the Baldwin that had the F holes...a semi-accoustic electric 12 that was apparently built by the same company that made the pianos, although the guitar was made in Italy, ca. 1969.  I have never seen another one.

My Baldwin was much thinner than the Kay, and was primarily built as an electric...it had twin pickups and a sunburst finish.  sold it after I got married; wish I still had the guitar, it was much more loyal...

I've heard that the Baldwin was a Rickenbacker copy, but I'm not so sure...

I googled Baldwin 12 string electric and found a few pics...one was identical to mine, with the sunburst finish, but was an outdated eBay link.  It was a very easy guitar to play, but the neck was a little wide, s it would have to be for 12 strings.  I had flatwounds on it when I sold it, had to use two sets.  Bought it used in 1970 for 250 bucks, it was a year old.

My uncle had an Ovation roundback 6 string that was very easy to play, too, a buddy of mine has a Takamine.  I bought my son a Talman[Ibanez] for Christmas a couple of years ago.  I have arthritis in my thumbs, so playing is rather painful for me now, so I just use my keyboards, when my thumbs don't bother me.  I have a bunch of Fender and Gibson patches, and some latin guitar patches, as well...

...you're never to ol' to rock and roll.....

Or too young to die. (with apologies to Ian Anderson)

He once owned a Harley Davidson and a Triumph Bonneville.
Counted his friends in burned-out spark plugs
and prays that he always will.
But he's the last of the blue blood greaser boys
all of his mates are doing time:
married with three kids up by the ring road
sold their souls straight down the line.
And some of them own little sports cars
and meet at the tennis club do's.
For drinks on a Sunday --- work on Monday.
They've thrown away their blue suede shoes.

I know some people like to take life easy,
That's not my style.
I'm not the type to let this life tease me,
I'm gonna make it wild.

I just wanna ride,
Get on my bike and ride.

Some people think you've got to like your life one way,
I disagree.
I'm not gonna pay attention to them anyway,
It's got nothing, nothing to do with me.

Life is so short, we've got
No time to waste at all.

I just wanna ride,
Get on my bike and ride.
I just wanna ride,
Get on my bike and ride.

I see the road, as it opens up before me,
I feel the heat.
I'm gonna go where I want, when I want to.
I've got to be free.

Feels so right
Feels so good.
