I think early Audis allowed you to turn off the ABS

Apparently there are a couple years where they are very pricey to replace so most people don't.
Rear brakes? Bizzare - they hardly do anything. My wife's old Dodge Shadow had rear brakes that were missing all the springs and such from the factory - took ten years to catch
I learned to drive in NoDak....brakes? Completely unnecessary.
