I filled up the bike for $7.64.  Good for about 140 miles before the low fuel light comes on.

Back in my high school years, I used to ride my Honda to school and my job, for about $1.00 a week.

I'm sure in 2007 dollars, it would be quite a bit more. Maybe $4 or even $5  ;D

Pighead takes $9.68 premium every week.

The Audi takes around $50 of same every week and a half....

That is why I always reset the trip odometer when I refill the tank.

Blue Meaney is averaging about 30.2 MPG, better than I thought it would.......

Audi averages 18 around town, but she only drives it  3 - 5k miles a year.........

I expect  $4 premium in Kansas by 4th of July..........for some reason my brother says he was paying $3.80 for regular in St. Louis a few months ago, he says it's come down some since then. Strange

Just to make you feel better, It now stands at £1.029/litre here (about $2.04) which is £4.68/gallon ($7.72/USgallon)

I suppose you think we don't pay a specific extra tax (when we're working) that is supposed to fund the National Health Service and our State Pensions. 
When I last paid it, it was 5.5% of Gross earnings and is probably well over that by now.
