Oops! I modified your post instead of replying. Sorry about that!  :'(

I'm good - you?

I sent you a zipped copy of the site so far - it's about ready to go 'live' in skeletal form. I've loaded an FTP utility onto my PC. Can you PM me the server info so I can try uploading?

I'd love to get some feedback from the members here before I get too far..

Been up to the same old, same old. Just sitting here listening to some Pearl Jam right now.

Should be leaving for the west just after memorial day.

The new PJam?  Do you like it?  I've only heard snippets, but the reviews say it's their best in years....

Nah, not the new -- still on the "to buy" list. But thinking about it inspired me to bust out some classic Pearl Jam.

One review I read said it's their best work since Ten -- no small accomplishment.

There are way too many good albums coming out, I also want to pick up the new Neil Young CD (just to piss off my neocon dad, if nothing else) and the new Chili Peppers album.

I've listened to the Neil Young record, but it sounds contrived, heavy-handed, and not particularly clever to my ear...and I'm a fan from wayback.

The new RHCP?  Love Dani Cali, but I think it's the strongest on the album.

It seems I am growing more and more bored with the music that's around these days.  Nothing holds my interest for long, or makes me want to hear more of it.  Late stage ADHD?

Dropping by to say hi.

I hear so little new music that I don't record, I could not have even told you if new albums were coming out.

I unzipped the file and then loaded the entrie contents into a directory entitled "index."  All of the data you sent me is on the server.  Nothing comes up when I type in the appropriate web addresses however.

I don't know what to do.  Got any suggestions? :-\

Not a clue.  :-[

Maybe www.autopuzzles.com/index/index (since I named the home page 'index').

Nope - just tried it; didn't work... >:(

Did the pages load OK on your machine? Did they look OK (fonts, layout, content, etc.)?

This probably isn't the place/time/category, but WTF...

I just found out the A6 "might" need a new o2 sensor; seems to be running fine and before I donate another $500 to my local dealer, what happens if I don't replace it right now?

thx.

I'd guess it's operating within a range that the sound feel of the engine can mask. You could end up needing a new cat if the fuel mixture goes too far astray because of bad data from the sensor.

This is correct.

It isn't too hard to change one yourself.......  :o

Good luck getting it fixed.

Yeah, I looked at one online and it looks basically like a plug in/plug out sort of situation.  Suppose I'll crawl under the thing tonight and scope it out....

KU, what did you mean by the "sound feel"?  I am feeling particularly dense today....

Pretty much.

If you know which one is bad, it isn't a hard job.

...and, here's the latest:  just got back from a quick spin in which I drove it pretty hard and the "check engine" light that started the whole inquiry went out and didn't come back on....hmmmm....time to break out the '68 B, chock-full of technology I can understand....and fix.

EDIT:  "Which ONE is bad????!!!"

My GTO did this same stuff this past winter.  All I needed to do was clear the code in the computer and it was fixed.  The O2 sensor was acting up due to bad gas.  There is usually a sensor in front of and behind each catalytic converter.  The computer will usually tell you which one is bad.  Usually, a check engine light that does what yours did is from bad gas or the changing gas chemistries due to the change of seasons affecting the O2 sensor.  I would clear the code and run it a while before I spent any money.

Find somebody who can run the VAGCOM codes for you, and then try clearing the codes. If the CEL doesn't come back, you're in the clear. If it does, you'll at least know which O2 sensor is bad -- these buggers are annoying and like to go at about 60k on VAG products. Carburetion, anyone?

Drove it all last night and this a.m.; so far, no CEL.

Interestingly, I just switched gas stations (attempting to save a few pennies)....went from Chevron to a quickie-mart mix...hmmmmmm

I did the same thing when I got the same problem.  Once again, cleared code and no money spent.  :)

Hi.

Haven't heard the new Pearl Jam...  if anyone hears it & finds it to be any better than the last two albums, let me know.  If it's more in tune with the last two, I'm not very interested.  Sad, too...  the TEN album is one of my all time faves.

I rarely find new music worthy of purchasing...  luckily, there's plenty of old stuff to explore.  And exploring I will go.

Good luck with that O2 sensor.  The can be a lot of money for very little material & labor.  PIA!  If you're into saving money, check junk yards for cars that obviously weren't put there because of engine trouble & snag one.  I got some power-lock relays which retail for close to $100 for something like $5 from a junk yard a couple of years ago & haven't had an issue since.  Just make sure you get the right ones... Considering your A6 is a newer car, most junkyards should have 'em.

The old Accord, which is slated to be replaced in a couple of months is about to go to the shop for a new radiator (started leaking when someone backed into the car in a parking lot,) rear brakes, AC repair, oil change & full tune-up.  $o, I'll be a bit more broke by the end of the week.

Meanwhile, I'm spending very little time online due to the ongoing remodeling & sell-prepping we're doing to the house.  The better it looks, the less I want to sell it. :(
