Topic: Three-Wheeler pics needed

Well... After a long gap, I am embarking on writing another book - an A-Z of Three-Wheelers, which I hope will include cars of sufficient obscurity to satisfy even the most ardent Autopuzzler.

I've collected loads of material already but I'd like to put out a request for hi-resolution photos of three-wheelers. I'm particularly keen to use period shots where possible, including brochures and adverts.

The book will only cover three-wheelers from 1945 onwards, and only cars which were actually offered for sale, or for which there was a serious production intention.

Anyone contributing will get a full credit in the book, and following als15's precedent, the top three puzzler-contributors will also receive an actual copy of the book. It might even get signed!

Needless to say, the Autopuzzles site will also be credited.

Good subject. Despite there being many numerous books on three-wheelers there has yet to be a properly definitive work, I hope this'll be the book to do it!

I hope you decide to include some prototypes as well as the regular production cars though as these are even more fascinating...

although it's impossible to tell from the photo, can we assume the little F.W.R only has three wheels? I'd love it if somebody could find out the story behind this one!

I love the subject and I'd love to help.
Do you want us to post a list of the rare 3-wheeler we know or just the hi-res pics of known ones?
(I don't think there will be many hi-res of rare ones  )

Of course, I'm resigned to the fact that I won't find fantastic photos of everything, but I'm hoping that Autopuzzlers may have some hidden treasures of which they're willing to contribute scans.

I already have good photos of most of the well-known three-wheelers, so yes, if you have rare stuff, that's exactly what I'm after. Indeed, the rarer the better.

I've decided to include prototypes built by companies, but not one-offs made by individuals, as sadly what is a large book would become immense beyond measure!

Sounds as though it's a great and much needed book. It has to be as complete as humanly possible though to make it work.
It may be difficult in some cases to distinguish what may have been a 'one-off' and what may have started off as being intended for eventual production.
I'm sure that will be sorted in your capable hands.
I have a large database of all manufacturers of all cars from 1940 to date including all three-wheelers plus an extensive picture library.
