You are not only going to complete the most heavy and detailed encyclopedia of the history, but actually you are planning 2 versions of it PLUS some dozens more about singolar makers!
And how many volumes (more or less) will it take the 'Tuner series'?
Is your day divided into 24 hours too?
Keep this topic updated, please, I'd like to follow your work!
First of all, i use every single second i have on my work. I will probably walk in the chair position soon
For the ones that do not know, i am a single father and i also have to do housework, except cooking, where my mother helps me. Not that i do not know, but i will loose a lot of time there...
By the way, my kid helped me with some photo editing, although he is only 5 years old. He saw me working and he requested (almost beg me) to do that so i gave him the photos and tell him what to do, in the program he does his drawings. For him it was fun, as he already done that with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck photos and he is crazy about cars.
The brand oriented books are not at all time consuming, the information is the same, i just have to tell the guy that makes the books layout to extract the pages and make a new cover, give it a new ISBN and that's it.
This series will be published as it was requested by some Alfa-Romeo forums and clubs. For me it is ok to do them, as i have already paid the money on the layout design of the pages and sell books to the ones that are not so passionate about a car history but like the brand of the car they own.
Regarding the tuner series, the database for it was mostly done, i just need to look for the missing models and few tuners. and of course write the texts, as they are not written yet. But here i took a different description approach, which is less time consuming and appropriate for the Tuner Series, but can't be used in the regular car encyclopedia.
There are two major factors that are giving me energy for working more and more:
1. As i work harder, the more i like it as i learn more and more about cars.
2. Each book sold, motivates me more and more to work even harder on my project
The only thing that slows me down, is marketing which i hope will be finished this month. I will make contracts with some retailers, beginning with Romania and i still have not chosen the one yet...
EDIT:
Sorry, i forgot to mention.
The Tuner series will have a volume for each letter and the price will vary from one volume to another, depending on the size and of course average delivery cost, depending on the book's weight. There might be some lettters that will go together in a single volume.
