Topic: So, if you are gay, what cars are you shopping?

I didn't read most of this topic, afraid of what I could stumble upon maybe: I am quite happy to be part of this "community of autopuzzlers", and i want to keep it that way. But the title of the topic itself makes me feel uneasy.

So I was thinking, for those who are into that kind of stuff, here are other categories we might study:
- cars driven by dentists.
- cars driven by redheads.
- cars driven by black mothers of five.
- cars driven by born-again christian...

Of my small circle of friends one is very discretely gay.  He's had a few "performance" V-8s in the recent past, and rather tellingly (according to the website), currently owns an EOS. 

Suspect in the "rather tellingly" self-report of car searching, is myself.    I've been married for the past 15 years and I've owned three cars on the list, including my current one, an Audi A3.  The two previous were Mx-5s. 

And speaking of cars driven by dentists, mine drives a CRX-Si.

I wasn't worried about that, just thought I would find some (and I did) and some  , and many posts starting with "I am not gay myself...". I just meant that this kind of topic can be slippery.

Thanks, Ray B. I felt a bit offended by this discussion. I think, the discussion about what gay people would or should drive should be left to gay people. We are no monkies or other animals ('what kind of trees do dogs prefer to pee on?'). And for those who really want to know what cars are driven by gays... well, any car you name. In the Dutch gay classic car club you'll find Citroën DS and Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, Mini and Fiat 500, Daf 55 and Opel Kadett, Pontiac Firebird and Cadillac Eldorado, Trabant Tramp and Maserati Mexico, Alfa Romeo Montreal and Ford A, Saab 93 and Volvo PV544, etcetra, etcetra...

Why are you offended by the discussion. It was started to point out how silly the idea of trying to pigeonhole a whole group of people's preferences....

That's the way this thread was intended.

The list is a compilation of searches for those who log on to a particular website.  The purpose of the website is to serve the interests of the gay community, one of which is what products, in this case, cars, that "they" are searching for. 

Please, people, this isn't meant to be a hurtful, harmful or disengenious thread. 

Ray B. had a point in that searched for cars could be broken down into various other populations, such as "dentists", "fat bald white guys between the ages of 30-45", etc. 

This list was compiled because of a group of people who self-select themselves as belonging to a particular group and what their buying likes are.
