I want to start posting my own puzzles, and was wondering how to go about rewarding points. I know this info is probably on this site somewhere already, but I can't find it.

Look under the person's points in the section on the left that contains the avatar.  Now that you've reached the lofty heights of Expertise, you should see [add] and [subtract] links.  Those allow you to do just what they say and award or (one would hope not) retract points from a person's point total.
