The effects of rotational inertia, with calculators!
« on: December 16, 2006, 11:52:11 AM »
WARNING: Math and Engineering content

I've seen the subject of rotational inertia come up a bit on the numerous car boards I read. I decided to dust off my engineering books, learn some JavaScript, and come up with I think is a fairly thorough explanation. You can read my treatise (and play with numerous calculators) here:

Enjoy!

Thanks for that: I'll have a go when I next feel the need for some post-period development on one of my cars.
I expect the calculators can be made to show me that I'd be wasting my money ;D
