Fiat 124 & 125 wanted!
« on: August 31, 2010, 12:17:54 PM »
A book is published and the first copies are on their way to the post office...
...so the first thing to do is starting another one!  ;D

And once again I'm here to ask you help in finding more and more stange, odd, unusual car to include.
This time, we will talk about Fiat 124 (all version: saloon, estate, coupe and spider) and Fiat 125.
But the great point is that this time the book will be really international, as it will include also the derivatives of the 124 and 125 made wordlwide under Fiat license: Lada 1200, 1300 & 1500, Seat 124 & 1430, Fiat-Concord 125 & 1600, Premier 118, Murat 124, Polski-Fiat 125P...

As usual, the 3 best contributions will be awarded with a free copy.

I know your archives are so big and I look forward great news.

This is a hard point. I usually consider period coachbuildings (and not odd conversions on classic-cars) everithing made within about 10 years after end-of-production. I.e. for the Fiat 500 within 1985.
I know this time some licensed model is still in production (Lada somewhere in southern ex-URSS). So I should include them all.
Just to save space for the most interesting ones, I would only exclude home-made tuning cars made today in Russia, which I know are very common on old Ladas. But professional conversions are really welcome.

How about this one?

I think it was some derivative of Polski Fiat 125P:

Pictures of AR - MG TD replica from Spain,

Martare GT from Belgium

A period picture of Metalex that I've found in a magazine some time ago. Sorry for poor quality. If needed, I'll try to make a scan tomorrow.

A new sports automobile Metalex-203 with a new engine (in 1977 it had a forced up to 125 hp engine of VAZ 21011).

Hi!

I have a number of derivatives which I will need to compile.

At the moment, I'd like to note that Martini single seaters were French, not Spanish, as far as I know, while VMGI was a Bulgarian formula, not Soviet.

Thanks, thanks, thanks!

The Metalex is wonderful. I only knew the single-seater, while it seems they did also this nice sportscar and rally Ladas.

For Paul Jaray: unfortunately I don't have Milleruote... Can you scan for me the page?

There is another argentinian car...can't open the site anymore, but was caled "Rocha Vintage"...I'll try to find it back.
About Antonucci, on Milleruote there are just 9 lines, plus a pic of the Ford-engined Formula3.
Here's the text:
"ANTONUCCI (F.lli) - Officina Triestina specializzata nella trasformazione di vetture di serie, in particolare Fiat e Lancia. Nel 1959 costruisce alcune monoposto di formula Junior e in seguito di formula 3. Nel 1972 progetta un prototipo da Rally che puo essere equipaggiato con motori Fiat 125 o 132 e con cambio Colotti. L'indirizzo dell'officina Antonucci è: via Villan De Bacchino 2, Trieste."

Unfortunately, my scanner isn’t working anymore, therefore, no pictures at the moment but I can scan whatever you request at my work.

Some cars that are not present in your lists

- 1972 Fiat 4 seat coupé by Bertone on 1967 Fiat 124 S mechanics
- Isn’t the OSI Cross country based on Fiat 124 and the estate on 125?
- 1967 Fiat 125 ‘Fastback coupé’ by Savio
- Scioneri 124 coupé => there are 2 versions 1966 double front lights and 1967 single front lights
- 1967 Fiat 124 elaborazione scioneri
- 1970 Speedway
- Moretti: there were at least 3 different versions of the 124 ‘Sportiva’ (single front light, double front light, square rear lights)
- Radbourne Abarth: Abarth-Simca bodyshell, Simca 1000 chassis, modified Abarth suspension and Fiat 124 engines.  12 cars were made.

There were two Fiat 125 based Eurostyle cars, weren't they?

Recently I've found this nice pic of the Savio 125 Station Wagon:

The Bertone can be found on page 140 of 'Bertone 90 Years 1912> 2002 Forma e progetto.  Il Catalogo

I will scan the 124 elaborazione Scioneri tomorrow, but I only have a very bad quality pic.

A drawing of the Speedway can be found on page 79 of QR 174
