Two 1974 special editions with bigger engines from Fiat 132p, lowered suspension, alloy wheels, racing details (mirrors, steering wheel, rev counter, black stripe with white outline and “Monte Carlo 1600” or “Akropolis 1800” written on them):
PF 125p Monte Carlo – 1.6-litre, 98 hp, 170 km/h;
PF 125p Akropolis – 1.8-litre, 111 hp, 175 km/h;
Both cars commemorated class wins of factory racing cars in Monte Carlo and Acropolis rallies in 1972. The factory rally cars had 1.6 DOHC engines with 105 hp, black matte bonnets and navy blue stripes with white outline and “Polski Fiat 125 P” written on the stripes. Both the rally cars and the special editions were painted bahama yellow (most of them at least, as supply problems necessitated use of other pastel colours sometimes).
